One of our favorite articles from last week’s Hop was Homeschool Learning: Discovering and Understanding the Periodic Table of Elements. The reason we loved this article so much? We didn’t realize that studying the periodic table of elements could be so much fun! Sometimes our “older” students have to suffer through some pretty boring lessons because we simply don’t know how to spice them up! We hope this post shows you (like it did us) that nearly anything your child studies can be made more interesting and more fun than it might seem at first.
Another favorite from last week was 4 Ways to Build a Strong Relationship with Your Tween. We parents sometimes begin struggling during the “tween years” to get along with our children, but it doesn’t have to be that way! This article suggests some helpful, practical, easy ideas for building a strong relationship with tweens!
Our third favorite from last week was {Homeschool Love} Why We Love Audiobooks. Audio books are a great way to “read” together at home or in the car, and they’re also a great way for kids to enjoy books while they work on projects with their hands. This article shares some information about how/when her children listen to audio books, and it gives some of their favorite audio books that you might want to check out!
